Did you catch that memory verse? Hebrews 11:17, “It was by faith that Abraham offered Isaac as a sacrifice when God was testing him.” Hebrews goes on to say that Abraham reasoned that if Isaac died, God would just bring him back to life again. God was teaching Abraham (and us) His plan to save the whole world. God did not make Abraham sacrifice his son. But many, MANY years later, God would sacrifice his own son, Jesus, and indeed bring him back to life again 3 days later! God is so cool!
Here is a paper to print and color. Do you notice the ram caught in the bush? God provided the sacrifice himself. I bet Abraham and Isaac were glad!
