After Jesus was resurrected, he appeared to his many people for 40 days and speaking about the kingdom of God. He gave commands to the apostles to be His witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. But not everyone wanted to hear about Jesus the Savior. Many died so that we may know the truth of salvation in Christ alone.
As followers of Jesus, we are also to be His witnesses first to our city, then state, country, and world. This is not always easy. The Bible is illegal or banned in many countries. Thank God that we can learn about the saving power of Jesus here in America.
