Joseph was a favorite son, slave, prisoner, and then the second most powerful person in Egypt! Wow! God’s plan for Joseph certainly wasn’t boring. But the story isn’t over yet.
I bet it was hard for Joseph to forgive his brothers. One of my favorite verses in the Bible came from Joseph. “ You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.” Gen. 50:20. Joseph saw God’s plan and knew there was a purpose for the hard times. Do you trust God to use your hard times for good? Then don’t run away from the hard times. Knowing it is all part of God’s plan helps us to forgive.
Just like Joseph forgave his brothers and they returned to being one family, Jesus forgives us when we do bad things too. Is there something you need to ask Jesus to forgive you for? Then, pray and ask Him to forgive you. He will. And you can return to being part of His family.
