Tuesday
The chief priests, money changers, teachers of the law, scribes and lawyers were not very pleased with Jesus. He had disrupted their jobs, money, thoughts and lives in general. No one likes to be told they are wrong. So they started to plot ways to trick Jesus.
Were they able to trick Jesus?
No of course not. Jesus knows everything. You can’t trick Jesus. But they still tried.
Were they able to trick Jesus this time? No.
Jesus continued teaching many more things in the temple that day. You can read about them in Mark 12 – 13. After a long day teaching, Jesus and his disciples went back to Bethany that night.
Wednesday
Jesus stayed in Bethany on Wednesday and did not go to the temple. But He still had important work to do.
