God wants us to follow Jesus, to love, trust and obey Him.
Disciples, or followers (or students), of Jesus are to “Fish for Men”. Simon Peter had been fishing for himself (to eat and sell for money). Now, Jesus wanted Simon Peter to work for Him. The Bible tells us one way to “fish for men” in Matthew 5:16 Your light must shine before people in such a way that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.”
